Hi, I’m Samatha Harris!

I’m learning to live this life faithfully, fully, and one season at a time.
I’m a wife, mom, grandmother, pastor’s wife, writer, home cook, lifelong learner, former homeschool mom of more than 20 years, and now a sales rep.
Graceful Living grew out of a simple belief:
Life doesn’t have to be perfect to still be meaningful, beautiful, and full of purpose.

Most of my life has been built around people.
For more than 20 years, I homeschooled my children while building a life centered around faith, family, home, church, and serving others.
I’ve spent years teaching, cooking, planning, working, encouraging, helping, learning, and figuring things out as I went.
Like a lot of women, I got very good at taking care of what everyone else needed.
And somewhere along the way, I also collected a long list of things I hoped I would do “someday.”
THEN 2026 CHANGED THE PLAN
Cancer changed the way I think about time.
In 2026, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Suddenly, my calendar filled with scans, appointments, chemotherapy, decisions, and words I never expected to become part of everyday life.
There have been hard days.
There have been frightening moments.
There have been days when I felt strong.
And there have been moments so ridiculous that all I could do was laugh.
But cancer also made me look at all those things I had pushed into the “someday” pile and ask:
What am I waiting for?
THIS IS THE HEART OF IT
I don’t want to wait for someday anymore.
I still want to grow closer to God.
I still want to care well for my home and family.
I still want to cook good food and gather people around the table.
I still want to learn.
I still want to write.
I still want to build something meaningful.
I still want to laugh.
I still want to dream.
And I still believe God is good.
Graceful Living exists because I believe there is still so much life to live, even when life doesn’t go according to plan.
